Vivir o el enigma de la razón, Galeria H2o

Esta exposición parte de los diarios de mi abuela, con esquizofrenia y depresión, marcada por la sensación de no haber encontrado nunca un lugar en elmundo ni como escritora ni como mujer. Las obras exploran la relación entre la herencia generacional (el miedo a acabar como ella) y el miedo a morir (o quizá, más bien, a no haber vivido lo suficiente). A través de la fotografía se ilustran los espacios de intimidad que nos permiten resistir. Las imágenes que aparecen, escenas de la cotidianidad, del aquí y ahora, funcionan como un antídoto frente al malestar. El peso de los gestos simples, los de la comunidad y la gente que queremos, combaten el aislamiento y nos devuelven, por fin, a la vida.

ENG: LIVING OR THE ENIGMA OF REASON 

This exhibition is based on my grandmother’s diaries, who lived with schizophrenia and depression, marked by the feeling of never having found a place in the world, neither as a writer nor as a woman. The works explore the relationship between generational inheritance (the fear of ending up like her) and the fear of dying (or perhaps, more precisely, the fear of not having truly lived). Through photography, the spaces of intimacy that allow us to endure are illustrated. The images that appear, scenes of everyday life, of the here and now, function as an antidote to distress. The weight of simple gestures, those of community and of the people we love, counteracts isolation and brings us back, at last, to life.
